WEXCO "777" Barrels

High-Performance Bimetallic Injection and Extrusion Barrels

with highly wear-resistant "carbide" barrel-bore protection

Primary Applications:

For Extrusion and Injection Molding using (abrasive) Filled Polymers

The “technical stuff”:

WEXCO "777" high=performance plasticating barrels feature a bore protection ("inlay") consisting of tungsten carbide particles combined with a chromium-boron-nickel matrix. The tungsten carbide particles provide outstanding primary wear resistance yielding a micro hardness of over DPH4000 (a hardness range too hard to measure with the standard Rockwell C scale). The chromium boride, along with the high chrome content, further enhances wear and corrosion resistance.

If you are processing a variety of polymers that are highly abrasive and even mildly corrosive, then WEXCO "777" barrels are the preferred choice. The high density of carbide particles makes this carbide lining material an excellent selection for superior performance and long-lasting service life.

Do you want a barrel with all these attributes PLUS "guaranteed" wear life?
Then choose WEXCO "Durocast
TM" barrels.
